Background to Program
The Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council (AH&MRC) Hearing Health Program aims to build skills and knowledge of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) staff to better detect and manage ear disease within NSW and to support linkages to other relevant services to maximise treatment and health outcomes.
Activities
- Regional Workshops
These workshops focus on promoting and facilitating local linkages and networks between ACCHSs and other organisations who work in the hearing sector
- Hearing Health Collaborative projects
These collaborative projects aim in supporting ACCHSs to increase the uptake of Child Health Checks, that include screening for ear disease, and ensure adequate follow up of detected hearing health problems
